The first is to set clear, realistic and reflect the overall business objectives.
Organize
You can use an Excel spreadsheet to track, in a comprehensive and consistent, the objectives they have set. For example:

Use Google Analytics to monitor social media references to the website of our company.

[English Version]   More and more companies opt for the use of QR codes as tool marketing. However, still only 3 out of 10 companies use it as indicates a study by Selenus, marketing and communication agency online.
With the rise of mobile devices (tablets, smartphones ...), more companies have been using QR codes to attract the attention of your audience objective. So that 71% of companies that use them, believeare a good marketing tool especially in times of difficulty economical.
However, the reality is that even in Spain, the use of this channel Mobile marketing is far from being a regular feature in the plans marketing of any business. And an interesting fact that is evidenced, that 68.8% of companies using QR codes do not have any business strategy and tools to measure the effectiveness of campaigns QR codes. Normally a blind bet because, (and it seems one of the primary keys) does not require investments and / or knowledge.
Therefore, QR codes are in danger of becoming simply a temporary fashion and yet can provide a competitive advantage significant for to exploit its potential.
Regarding the motivations for using QR as strategy marketing, 58.8% of companies said the fact "give life" to their offline media (posters, brochures, newspaper ads ...). For another 52.9% is "open another channel for customers" and 47.1% "distinguished from competition ".
It seems clear that the main problem is a lack of professionalism in use which gives this marketing channel, as many codes QR that can be seen today have been designed and created by peoplewho have no knowledge about communications or marketing.
And regarding support in which to place QR codes, the study by Selenus indicates that a large majority of 81.3% puts them in brochures and signage, 37.5% in newspaper ads and 31.3% in cards. Half of respondents felt that the merchandising is a suitable support for your QR code, but only 6.3% can afford. Other media affordable as product labeling (packaging) are not yet used by companies whose use is also reduced to 6.3%.
Based on this, the Spanish companies pass the test on the use of codes QR by the minimum and although more and more companies using these codes, it should also work more on those that already use a little or no efficient way.

[English Versión]  A few weeks ago, Facebook went public with results which, according to a large number of securities experts, were more than predictable. However, this has been a change in the strategy of the company in managing the advertising of the largest social network, implemented subtle changes in the measurement of advertising campaigns that have caught unprepared to agencies and advertisers.

The new methodology will provide a new way to agencies and advertisers to measure the effectiveness of Facebook initiatives, providing a new measurement tool catalog of initiatives in the social network and eliminate the importance of metrics and outdated as "I like "CPM, CTR and clicks. And is that all media, public and not all ads have the same value or the same goals.

The change in the way of measurement of Facebook is based primarily on the manner in which records and reports how users interact and click on the ads and content. In short, it means that what has hitherto been considered a connection has now been divided into different actions, offering transparency and opportunities for different metrics of interaction.

Until this change in the way of measuring advertising, Facebook faced a great challenge because of its inability to measure the impact of marketing programs online and offline conversion of the s limitations related to the trace.

One of the new tools is called "Exchange", which based on using data outside of Facebook, allows users to segment the social network focusing on re-marketing opportunities and generate off-site conversions. This tool is in its early stages and requires a time of testing and adjustment although it seems that going in the right direction.

[English Version]  The Social Media Marketing (SMM), refers to the techniques and methods of marketing using social networking channels or similar systems, and although most companies and organizations have their own websites, can be difficult to reach users unfamiliar products or services of this. Therefore, many companies have found it useful to also develop a presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc ...
Social media marketing provides a low cost way for businesses to reach a large number of users and improve and get recognition and branding. From social networking sites and have established large online communities, companies and organizations can gain exposure by simply joining these websites. Organizations can create profiles on social networks, and then build their own communities within these sites by adding users as friends or followers. Many companies use as a way to attract users, posting regular updates and special offers available through their pages on social networks.
The SMM is a powerful online marketing tool, often used as a complement to other online marketing methods rather than replace them. It can be hard to stand out from the crowd. Therefore, most companies still rely on Web advertising and search engine optimization SEO to drive traffic to their websites.
And one of the main elements of the SMM are published content for fans of social networking pages, the message is intended to convey and how it is vital to achieving the objectives.
A few days ago I found a computer graphics that reflects very simple and fun, the way it should be planned content. The original link is:

[English Version]   Today, unless it is an online action that results in traffic, such as pay per click advertising, banner campaigns or SEO, is very difficult to measure the ROI on the web. For that reason, many brands are still reluctant to invest in strategies involving actions by word of mouth, PR 2.0 or social media marketing (social media marketing, SMM).
What is the ROI?

That said, we must ask what is meant by the actions Web ROI. For some it is the frequency coverage and notice who got on TV. For others it is the number of impressions displayed on your site or the amount of clicking on an advertisement might even be unique visits per month or the amount of fans in the Facebook profile. In all cases are measurable goals, but the fact is that Social Media objectives are intangible, the real return is to their own interactions.
One of the two most important assets of SMM are the conversations and relationships, in which there are feelings, emotions, values and behaviors. The other asset is what is known as engagement, which has to do with the engagement, commitment and user engagement with brands. In the traditional media can not be perceived, but the site is highly visible and help to influence other consumers.
For example, the views that leaves a network user engagement are tangible and therefore measurable, making it possible to know the online popularity of a brand, but not the influence, one would have to assess the content of each opinion ( positive-negative).
The dilemma

Questions is how are you making it more difficult to calculate the ROI on social media. However, the real dilemma arises from the custom in the world of marketing to assign values to actions and thus measure the ROI. Metrics are essential for business, but you have to understand that there is one for each objective pursued, and not all should and can be measured with traditional ROI formula.
It is unfair to expect always a monetary ROI of online advertising. This addition to boosting sales or generate leads, is optimal for the branding. And this is no proof:. Fox and comScore Networks conducted a study to test campaigns with banners and videos are effective although the ratio of clicks is low. Indeed, they found that visits four sites tested grew in the four weeks after exposure of the ads - during that time users were more likely to be searched using relevant terms or generic brands they saw.
In turn, we must bear in mind that the results of a banner not only depend on their creative, but also of the medium where the pattern. There are brands that only use as a criterion whether a site rank well in Alexa, and forget other important aspects such as the influence you may have or the user's behavior there. Which is better: a site with 60 000 visits in the fall only 2 minutes or one with 2 000 where users spend 20 minutes interacting? That is not measured by Alexa.
Can be measured

So the point is that social media can not always translate into money, unless you calculate it in the overall ROI of all marketing activities. It is based on measurable criteria and metrics we use, and as we are aware of what they want to reach.
There are three steps before measuring the ROI:

First I need noticing objectives: what you want to accomplish with social media marketing?. Here are some ideas: have more visibility, find prospects, increase traffic, find strategic partners, reduce the overall costs of marketing, improve brand image, loyalty, service after sales.

The next question is: what does the I in ROI of the company? So, what or how much they will invest. And if money, you should know that is not as easy to measure the cost of activities in social networks. I can know how much I get an application on Facebook, but the cost of an update on Facebook? The most obvious is time.

Finally, we must lay the groundwork, but against which we will compare or evaluate?. The results can be assessed and get a ROI when there is already precedent. At the time of starting a social media campaign is to make a statement of the brand before. Then they measured the results at the time of having launched the strategy. But do not expect very fast. Think about six months at least.

1. Nuevo DOCTYPE

2. No más TYPE para scripts y links
3. No más comillas ni cerrar elementos
4. <figure> , nuevo elemento de HTML5
5. Text inputs para emails
6. Los nuevos atributos “required” y “autofocus”
7. Placeholders o marcas de agua
8. Nueva semántica de <header> <nav> y <footer>
9. Internet Explorer y HTML5
10. Contenido editable
11. Soporte para audio
12. Soporte para video
13. Atributos “preload” y “controls”
14. Expresiones regulares con el nuevo atributo pattern
15. Nuevo elemento <mark>
15. Atributo data para atributos personalizados

[English Version]  Creating my own business: the web site
As a general rule, companies that decide a website for your business handle a series of questions and concerns mainly related to cost rather than the meaning of coming on the Internet and online commerce except cases, the technology used to web structure also tends to be overlooked.
Web 2.0 has proven to be essential for any company to have a web presence that goes beyond flat display information on a website simple and easy. The interaction and communication with customers and users through social networks, has opened a new world of opportunities and has become an essential element.
Currently on the market (free or paid) a large number of CMS solutions (Content Management System) to manage websites, but we met nearly pure HTML programming (although many years ago), we discuss some concepts interesting about the new web standard that means HTML5 and the potential opportunities it presents.
But first, it is HTML5?, Is nothing more than a collection of standards for the design and development of websites, ie orderly manner in which information is presented web browser and how to interact with it.
At the same time, HTML5 aims to provide a platform for developing web applications more like desktop applications, to facilitate implementation in a browser that does not imply lack of resources.
HTML5 features a host of new features, is more efficient and uses less resources on the client's computer, including using the new player that does not require adobe flash player to use. Moreover, since HTML5 is compatible with previous versions of HTML, use the new version on a page designed and means less work than if it were a completely new collection.
It would be difficult to explain in detail many of the new capabilities of HTML5, so, here is a summary list some of them and to expand the information, a link which I think are very well explained:
1. New DOCTYPE2. No more scripts and links to
TYPE
3. No more quotes or close items4. <figure>, new element of HTML55. Text input for emails6. The new attributes "required" and "autofocus"7. Placeholders or watermarks8. New semantic and <footer> <nav> <header>9. Internet Explorer and HTML510. Editable Content11. Support for audio12. Support for video13. Attributes "preload" and "controls"14. Regular Expressions with the new attribute pattern15. New Item <mark>15. Attribute data for custom attributes16. List all new HTML5 elements (English)17. Storing data locally (localStorage and sessionStorage)18. Other independent HTML5 specifications
In Smart Printing Consulting we are currently implementing a new version of the fully developed website with HTML5 standards, will be ready in a few days.
