Hablemos de Sostenibilidad

Según la Real Academia de la Lengua, el concepto de Sostenibilidad hace referencia a:

Y esto es algo que, aunque se haya puesto de moda, al estudiar la historia medioambiental sorprende la antigüedad del concepto de "Sostenibilidad". Su origen se encuentra en el concepto "Nachhaltigkeit" del jurista alemán Hans Carlowitz (1645-1714), quién desarrollo en 1713 una teoría sobre la utilización óptima de los bosques, que fueron las fuentes de energía para la protoindustria de hierro y plata. Planteó que el volumen de la producción de esta industria no podía ser superior a la velocidad de repoblación de los bosques. Carlowitz, sin embargo, fue el creador del termino, pero no del concepto, que fué muy común durante la epoca medieval.
